Eccomi tornata dalle mia vacanze a Creta ( ...lo so sono una maniaca! ) pronta ad iniziare un nuovo anno all'insegna della ceramica. Ho avuto nuovi interessanti contatti, ne saprete di più a breve, e sono in grande attesa per la fiera di Faenza. Argillà non è ancora cominciata e già mi dispiace che ci sia solo ogni due anni...comunque nel frattempo, eccitazione a parte, fervono i preparativi. Finalmente potrò incontrare de visu tanti amici virtuali, e conoscerne di nuovi. Sarò lì ad aiutare la mia amica Sara Kirschen allo stand A58 193, venite a trovarmi !
Si inizia il sabato mattina lungo le vie del centro storico con 185 selezionati ceramisti in esposizione 85 dei quali provenienti da oltre 10 nazioni estere, ai quali si affiancano stand “tecnici e istituzionali” (Comuni di antica tradizione ceramica, associazioni di ceramisti, tornianti, riviste e produttori di settore).
Inoltre durante il week end ci saranno numerose iniziative dalle mostre, alla realizzazione di forni. La Polonia è la nazione ospite d’onore ad Argillà Italia 2010, attraverso un programma di eventi e momenti dedicati alle sue città ed agli artisti ceramisti.
Le inizitive sono veramente numerose e vi consiglio di leggere con attenzione il programma così da non perdervi nulla !

Back from holidays I am all ready to start a new season of exciting ceramics. I am heading to Faenza on friday for Argillà, the most important ceramic fair in Italy. I will be helping my friend Sara Kirschen at her stand Sara Kirschen at her stand A58 193, please come and say hello ! ARGILLÀ – ITALIA: “Ceramics Festival”
A “long weekend" in Faenza, one of the world capitals of majolica (the name of the city itself gave rise to the word “faiences”), to discovery the world of ceramics and ceramicists, through events, exhibitions, and cultural and spectacular activities:
- ARGILLÀ: market-fair to be held on September 4th and 5th along the streets of the Historic District of Faenza, with 200 exhibitors from ceramics capitals in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Nederland, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia, as well as other European nations,
- Mondialtornianti – L’oro del vasaio: Mondialtornianti – L’oro del vasaio (World Potters’ Wheels Competition - Potter’s Gold) the 30th edition of a spectacular manifestation dedicated to sector craftsmen with captivating demonstrations of techniques, ability, and creativity.
- Cultural and collateral events: the city, through its own structures (International Museum of Ceramics, Exhibition Hall, crafts and cultural associations, AICC, the State Institute of Art Gaetano Ballardini, I.S.I.A., etc.) will become a venue for an exciting programme of shows, exhibitions, and activities.
