British Ceramics Biennial is back!!!
Torna uno degli eventi più ricchi del panorama ceramico, purtroppo rivolto unicamente a ceramisti del regno unito. Il festival Biennale della Ceramica Britannica in questi giorni è in pieno fermento, la zona di Stoke on Trent (sede, per altro, della famosissima fabbrica Wedgewood) è popolata da numerosissimi eventi, ci sono i premi, le esposizioni, le visite guidate, i seminari, workshops, open studios e chi più ne ha...più ne metta. Prima o poi vado anche io!!!
Per il momento mi accontento di seguirlo on-line e se qualcuno fosse interessato c'è un concorso anche per gli stranieri "Writing Prize", organizzato dalla rivista Ceramic Review per scoprire e stimolare la nuova critica ceramica...

A six week Biennial Festival with high profile exhibitions including 'Award' at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery - rewarding and promoting the best in contemporary practice with an overall award of £10,000 and 'Fresh' - featuring 40 of the brightest graduates from the UK's Higher Education sector; installations and a range of activities at the former Spode site; plus workshops, talks and tours of the City. On-going BCB projects include residencies, fellowships, commissions, learning and inclusion and business start-ups.
...even if you are not in England at the moment you can compete in the "Writing Prize"...
This year Ceramic Review is launching a new prize inspired by the British Ceramics Biennial to discover and stimulate new writing on ceramics.
