Mike Dodd è un vero "potter", un ceramista come lo avrebbe voluto Leach. Dodd vive nella campagna inglese, i suoi smalti sono creati utilizzando materie prime locali, i suoi vasi sono splendidamente modesti accessibili ma ricercati come quelli giapponesi.

La Goldmark Art, bellissimo spazio di Uppingham nelle Midlands Inglesi, ospita  una mostra a lui dedicata.

 Mike Dodd is a true potter, he lives in the countryside, digs his clay, and he is commited in using local sourced materials for his pots and creates wonderfull casseroles . His ceramics are humble and strong and harmonious. Glazes are reduced fired, amazing, soft and luscious.
