Un solo post non sarebbe bastato... Ecco altri fantastici ceramisti che saranno presenti al Sofa:
Christa Assad, di cui vi avevo già parlato per la sua partecipazione nel libro Searching for Beauty, rappresentata dalla galleria Ferrin di Pittsfield sarà parte di una esposizione dal titolo Reobjectification (rioggetificazione). Gli artisti saranno alle prese con la creazione di nuovi oggetti partendo da alcuni di uso comune.
La Mirviss Gallery di New York, specializzata in arte giapponese presenta attraverso 20 opere il lavoro della pioniera Koike Shôko. Ceramic Vision ve ne aveva parlato qui a proposito della nascita della ceramica femminile in Giappone. L'artista darà una conferenza nelle giornate della fiera.
La Johanna Bird Pottery di Londra, da 30 anni specializzata in ceramica sarà al Sofa con i lavori scultorei di Fernando Casasempere.
Galerie Besson porterà i mitici Hans Coper e Shozo Michikawa, mentre la Lacoste Gallery avrà in anteprima i lavori di Ani Kasten.

Ferrin Gallery, a favorite at SOFA for her themed shows, presents Reobjectification , in which her artists take an existing object and create a new one directly based on it, featuring the work of Christa Assad (read CV), and many others. Joan B. Mirviss Ltd., specialized in Japanese art in New York, especially screens and scrolls, woodblock prints, and ceramics, presents Reflections on Nature: Ceramic Sculptures by Koike Shôko, featuring 20 painstakingly crafted works by the pioneering woman artist to debut at SOFA. The artist will give a lecture on April 17th at 11:15 am and will also be present at the booth on April 18th at 1:00pm. Joanna Bird Pottery from London brings 30 years of experience of showcasing contemporary and vintage ceramics to SOFA. Artists such as Fernando Casasempere bring a profound sense of simplicity and precision to their explorations of the medium’s vitality in contemporary culture.
