Il Sofa quest'anno dedica ampio spazio alla ceramica, ecco un'occasione per rifarci gli occhi anche solo virtualmente.
Adrian Sasson ottimo dealer di ceramica contemporanea presenta le opere di Felicity Ayleff. Enormi vasi realizzati dall'artista durante una residenza nella famosa località di Jingdezhen, Cina.
Questi vasi in porcellana decorati con transfer e smalti colorati sono una vera meraviglia.
Sempre rappresentato da Sasson c'è Michael Eden, grande sperimentatore di tecniche alternative nella creazione di oggetti di natura ceramica.
Poi c'è Walter McConnell con le sue piramidi di porcellana bianca e la creda umida sotto vetro.

SOFA NY 15 April 2010 This year lots of ceramics at this great decorative art and design fair. Adrian Sasson UK top contemporary ceramic's dealer, brings to NY the fabulous work of Felicity Ayleff. This artist since a residency in Jingdezhen, China, creates huge vases decorated with enamels and transfers, her work is outstanding. As well represented by Sasson is Michael Eden, creator of new objects fusing ceramics with manufacturing techniques and non firing materials. There's also Walter McConnell with his pyramids of porcelain and moist clay cabinet. In the year of her departure, we can still admire the great modernity in the works of Ruth Duckworth as well as the beauty of Finnish ceramics.
