Il lavoro di Vipoo Srivilasa è unico ed interessante, l'uso della decorazione su oggetti ordinari, risulta allo stesso tempo divertente ed intelligente. Sempre diversi, i suoi pezzi fanno uso delle tecniche tradizionali, spesso ispiarto dalla ceramica antica tailandese, per regalarci una visione del contemporaneo.
Prossima mostra ad ottobre alla Edwina Corlette Gallery in Australia.

CV: 5 Parole che descrivano le tue opere
VS: Teatrale, barocco, divertente, arguto e bello

CV: Che aspetto della tua personalità ti è più utile nel tuo lavoro?
VS: Il senso dell'umorismo

CV: Qual'e il tuo pezzo in ceramica preferito?
VS: Amo le ceramiche antiche (vedi foto), ma sono difficili da trovare

CV: Da cosa trai ispirazione?
VS: Internet-Google Search! Comunque le idee migliori mi vengono mentre sto lavorando in laboratorio. Google è il mezzo per ampliare le mie idee e cercare ispirazione
CV: Se potessi scegliere dove vivere/lavorare nel mondo, dove andresti?
VS: Al momento Jingdezhen in Cina è in cima alla mia lista, ero lì lo scorso anno e voglio tornarci il prima possibile. Sarebbe bello vivere a Melbourne o Chaingmai (in Tailandia) e avere un laboratorio a Jingdezhen.




















Vipoo Srivilasa's work is unique and exciting, the use of decorations imposed on trivial objects is entertaining, clever and fun. Always different, his pieces challenge modernity through old techniques, while working with his Thai heritage Vipoo gives us a glimpse of contemporaneity.

CV: Five words that describe your work
VS: theatrical, flamboyant, humorous, witty and beautiful.

CV: What aspect of your personality is more useful in your practice?
VS: Humorous!
CV: What is your favourite ceramic piece of all times ?
VS: I love antique ceramic (see picture attached) and they are hard to find.

CV: Where do you get your inspiration from? VS: the Internet - Google search! However, most of the best idea come while i work in studio. Google is the tool to expand my idea and source for more inspiration.
CV: If you could choose where to live/work in the world, where would you go? VS:At the moment Jingdezhen, China is the top of my list. I was there late last year and want to go back again as soon as I can.
It would be great to live in Melbourne or Chaingmai (Thailand) and have a studio in Jingdezhen.
