Dal 15 al 17 Maggio a Londra, Spira sarà presente a Collect 2009, fiera dell'artigianato contemporaneo ospitata nel nuovo spazio della galleria Saatchi. I pezzi di Rupert Spira sono uno dei migliori esempi della magia che si crea quando arte e artigianato si fondono.

The Poetry of Black and White

Rupert Spira's ceramics are form and essence combined, the beauty of the form and the refinment of his words meet to create a magical object. The white inscriptions that filter through the dark glaze, are ready to fly away, adding to his vessels a lightness almost unreal. The foot of his bowls, directly from Sung's porcelains feeds their predisposition to fly. The flow of words, often impossible to decifre, transform these pieces in evanescent epyphanies. From the 15 to the 17 of May in London, Spira will be at Collect 2009, contemporary craft fair hosted in the new Saatchi Gallery's space. His pieces are definitely one of the best example of the fusion of art and craft.
