Il 2011 è l'anno designato dal Craft Council irlandese e dall' organizzazione del Craft dell'Irlanda del Nord alla celebrazione dell'artigianato (craft).

una mostra itinerante di ceramica e vetro di due giovani artiste Alison Lowry (vetro) e Rachel Dickson (ceramica). Entrambe esprimono con i diversi materiali il potere dei ricordi.

The Crafts Council of Ireland and Craft Northern Ireland have designated 2011 as Year of Craft. The year marks the 40th anniversary of the Crafts Council of Ireland and will be celebrated through a diverse range of dynamic events and programmes to showcase the very best of craft made on the island of Ireland.

This exhibition of new work by dynamic young makers Alison Lowry and Rachel Dickson (artist talk 5 april 6pm) explores how memories can be expressed in different materials and forms, encapsulating the fabric of our lives. Alison Lowry is a glass artist and Rachel Dickson is a ceramist, but both makers draw their inspiration from textiles.
