“Plasmare la forma, arrivare attraverso la superficie ad un sentimento più integro e puro, riconquistare la realtà toccando la sua origine, il fondo. Nella loro tensione formale le bottiglie hanno basi ben piantate a terra, sono corpi il cui desiderio è di innalzarsi, le bocche si aprono come a respirare, si riempiono d'aria. Al loro solido aspetto si contrappone un'intima essenza, una profonda interiorità in cui è possibile scrutare come in un buio abisso. Oggetti d'uso quotidiano che donano il brivido dell'eternità.”

Pierfrancesco Solimene is a young ceramist that lives and works in Vietri sul Mare, a lovely village on the beautiful Amalfi coast known for its traditional ceramic production. I leave the words of Pierfrancesco, to describe his practice.

'Moulding the form, getting through the surface to a more intact and pure feeling, re-conquer reality by touching its origin, the deep end.
In their formal tension bottles have their bases well rooted on the ground, their bodies desire to rise, their mouths open to breath, they fill with air. Their solid aspect is opposed to a more intimate essence, a profound inside where is possible to look into a dark abyss. Everyday objects that give the thrill of eternity'
