Il suo lavoro esamina il significato dell'uso della natura nelle opere d'arte. nella serie Still Life, la Shiftan,ricrea
tridimensionalmente con la ceramica disegni antichi di nature morte e di tema botanico. L'intento e di far percepire a chi osserva, come la visione della natura venga elaborata attraverso ricordi, conoscenze e influenze culturali.

nature; in the magic of looking at reality; the beauty and the ambivalence enfolded in nature; and the political aspect of “packaging” nature in the art object.'

The beautiful Greenwhich House Pottery hosts until the 6th of March, the work of the Israeli artist Anat Shiftan. Shiftan’s own work in clay explores , the subject of ambivalence in floral and zoological imagery and the representation of nature in art. Her printed images reflect on the dialectic relations between man and nature, focusing on the ambivalence reflected in the heroic yet destructive aspect of human intervention in nature, nature's response, and the glorification of both.
