Mid-Century Style in N.Y.
Peter Voulkos demostrating at GHP in 1961
La mostra apre domani 7 Gennaio all GHP di New York.
Mid-Century Style and Studio Pottery Opens Jan. 7th!
Tomorrow, just at the beginning of the new year, starts an exhibition that takes us back in time. Ceramists like Peter Voulkos, Lucie Rie, Beatrice Wood, and Bernard Leach together with other equally important designers, recreate the magic of a postwar atmosphere at the fabulous Greenwhich House Pottery. The one and only Pottery in Manhattan, now past the 100yrs of activity, has hosted many great artists and tomorrow opens a window into our interesting past.
I greatly reccomend a visit.
This is what it looked like in 1958
