Yoon Kwan-cho
Il bellissimo spazio sottotetto che ospita la Galerie Besson di Londra si prepara all'apertura, domani, della Summer Exhibition. Mi dispiace un po' al pensiero che le meravigliose creazioni della Hassen Pigott siano al momento impachettate nelle loro scatole, invece che adagiate su colonne e ripiani. Quando ho visitato la mostra, il mese scorso, accanto a quelle meraviglie traslucide spuntava un pallino di colore rosso, a significare che quasi tutte avrebbero preso una nuova strada. Avevo messo gli occhi su un gruppo di tre ciotole del colore delle nuvole dopo la pioggia ...ma mi è mancato il coraggio ( e a essere sincera non solo quello...) di comprarle. I prezzi cominciano ad essere meno abbordabili ma sempre niente rispetto al mondo dell'arte contemporanea. Basta pensarci, forse ci rincontreremo...adesso spazio agli artisti dell'estate:

Deirdre HawthorneTime for a new show at Galerie Besson. The beautiful works by Hassen Piggot are ready and packed in their cases. The idea of those beauties leaving the top floor of the gallery makes my heart sink. When I visited the exhibition, this early June I had fallen for a group of three bowls that had the colour of clouds after a storm. Unfortunately I didn't have the courage ( and that wasn't the only thing I lacked ) to add a new red spot to the many already present on the plinths...Maybe we'll meet again, but enough of this and let's make space to the Summer Exhibition, here are the artists, most of them regulars at this space on Royal Arcade.
